To add inert gases I was thinking of the following approach.

Approach

  1. The inert gases would come up in sequence as the player gets higher elements. Example: Neon and Argon will come only after the player has formed Fluorine.
  2. The inert gas elements cannot be combined with each other or any other elements.
  3. At any point of time, there will only be 1 inert element on the grid.
  4. The inert element will only come up when there 3 or more empty cells in the grid.
  5. The inert element can be removed using a special remove button.
  6. This remove button will be activated 3 moves after the inert element is added to the grid.

Possible Challenges

  1. Krypton is currently one of the major elements formed in the game. We will have to explore if we can replace this with another element and use Krypton as an inert element.

@Griffintaur , What do you think of the approach?
Once, we reach a possible approach, I would love to contribute to this feature.
