Starting the program results in the following sequence of screenshots, where the unfavourite modal dialog opens at the start of the program. After clicking Ok, I am brought to the signup page.

This also occurs (the modal dialog popping up) when a user clicks on "Generate Recipe" from the main menu.

That was fixed a long time ago, at least don't happen to me any more. make sure to pull the latest work. That was one of ur initial bugs that I fixed.
