Please see the appropriate readme section for issue reporting guidelines: https://github.com/Helium314/HeliBoard?tab=readme-ov-file#reporting-issues
tl;dr:

  • search for duplicates, also in closed issues
  • a single issue per topic
  • reduce screenshot size

Describe the bug
When I use autocomplete in HeliBoard a space is placed after the autocomplete word.
I cannot find a way to disable adding these spaces.

To Reproduce
Start typing. Select a word from the autocomplete list.

Expected behaviour
The word from the autocomplete list is placed.
After pressing another key, its character is added to the text typed.

Screenshots
The word from the autocomplete list is placed.
After pressing another key, a SPACE, the typed character is added to the SPACE.

App version
Version 2.3, installed from F-Droid.

Device:

  • Model: Motorola and Cubot, models not older than 2022.
  • OS: Android 12 for the Motorola; AndroidGO for the Cubot, maybe 11.

Although I find it useful in daily use but there's no harm to have a toggle for disabling it.
