In digital forensics disk images are used widely for examining files without
editing their last accessed date. It is important to due so to leave the 
evidence un-tampered with.

We use fallocate to create disks. A disk is created once it is given a
set amount of memory it can be partitioned and written to.

The OSI model is relative to the level of operation used on disk images.
Mounting and Cloning through terminal operate on a lower OSI level.
