Heya, We have noticed issues where this functionality is not working on Windows Phone 8.1 and also on some Blackberry devices. We have found that the clickable area is above the select box, do you know if there is a workaround for this??

Hmm, to be really honest, I think it'll be hard for us to find the underlying issue for those two browsers as they are definitely not as easy to debug or even acquire. If you'd like to take a crack at it though, I'd be more than happy to help wherever I can.
