Welcome to the IBM Food Trust™ wiki!

This wiki contains prerequisites and instructions for your Organization to onboard and get started using IBM Food Trust. If at any time you need more help, just click the Get Support link.

Onboarding

Depending on your role as Business User, Supply Chain Expert, or Data Integration Expert, you will complete the following tasks to onboard your Organization to IBM Food Trust.

Prerequisite: All IBM Food Trust users must have a registered IBM ID.

Business User

As a Business User, you will complete the following onboarding tasks for your Organization (Account Owner role required):

  1. Register your Organization with IBM Food Trust.
  2. Subscribe to additional IBM Food Trust Modules on IBM Marketplace.
  3. Register your users, including assigning them to their required roles.

Supply Chain Expert

As a Supply Chain Expert, you will complete the following onboarding tasks for your Organization (Onboarding Team Member role required):

  1. Model your supply chain processes using your preferred method, such as the Product Scenarios Builder.
  2. Save the results of your modeling in XML format—the Product Scenarios Builder does this for you. Sample XML Document Models are also provided.
  3. Pass your XML Document Models to your Organization's Data Integration Experts.

Data Integration Expert

As a Data Integration Expert, you will complete the following onboarding tasks for your Organization (Onboarding Team Member) role required.

  1. Collect the XML Document Models created by your Supply Chain Experts.
  2. Collect the GS-1 Identifiers for the Headquarters (Prefixes), Products (GTINs and URNs), and Facilities (GLNs) identified in your XML Document Models. (If necessary, you can request IBM Food Trust Identifiers in the Onboarding Module).
  3. Register your Prefixes and Headquarters, Products, and Facilities with IBM Food Trust.
  4. Map your supply chain data to your XML document models.
  5. Upload your XML data using the IBM Food Trust Connector API.
