@jkmusyoka I wonder if this could be a very "low-hanging-fruit" and one that could be used immediately in Maseno, and elsewhere by students taking financial maths? I now see I discovered this before - see #7255! No reply in the year!
Could this be an investment by someone in INNODEMS? It would be designed so that INNODEMS staff would then be used to support the adoption of the relevant training materials into University courses in Kenya and elsewhere. We consider starting with Maseno.
There is a finance task view. And the tidyquant package looks an obvious one to start with and add to R-Instat. And it includes lots of stuff that mirrors Excel financial functions and I would guess that they might currently be used?
We could perhaps start really easily with adding the package, and then adding a financial keyboard to the calculator.
One job of R-Instat is to choose a few packages, and I am suggesting tidyquant as our starting point.
