Feature Request/Idea: convert a FAKE DOI into a Handle

Hi all,
We currently have DOI FAKE assigned to some data in our repository. We recently enabled the Handle to be assigned in place in the DOI FAKE and it is working perfectly.

Now what would be the way to assign a Handle to a record with DOI FAKE?

We are using v. 5.13 Dataverse version!

Hmm, there's an API endpoint to Mint a New DOI for a Dataset with a Handle, but no, there is currently no way turn a FAKE DOI into a Handle (or DOI, or Permalink).

Do you have access to developers who might be able to implement this functionality?

In the future, I can image that out of the box, Dataverse could be configured for PermaLinks, which are free. And maybe these (some or all) could be converted into DOIs or Handles.

In practice, what you could do today is export your datasets as JSON and import them to create new datasets with Handles. You'd need to re-upload the files.
