Removing toolstrips from image windows

I think it would be useful it were possible to selectively remove the tool-strips from the image windows. e.g. remove the x/y/value strip down the bottom or the lock stuff at the top. I am suggesting this because if one opens a large number of windows at the same time and turns them into a grid, then a lot of screen space is wasted with these tool strips if the information they provide is not useful for the current task.
