How to host using traefik

Hello all. Took me a lil bit to get it right but if anyone is interested this how to successfully host this to the internet using traefik as reverse proxy. I personally have this behind cloudflare safe access for my access control. But this works perfectly and isn't well explained really anywhere. Hope this helps someone.

Note: The fact i am joining existing network 'caddy_default' is because i was previously using Caddy and everything was already setup on that network.. just not trying to throw anyone off.

Below setup and clean build and you are good to go.

This didn't work for me, but then again it wasn't working without traefik either 😅
Also is searxng supposed to be the same domain as perpleixa.domain.com?

No searxng is its own domain setup as a cname on cloudflare. so searxng.domain.com and perplexica.domain.com are both separate CNAMES. The searxng.domain.com is just because i want my searxng instance to be accessible from the web as well. But not 100% necessary. You can see where I specify to look at searxng by ip internally for the services.

So you are saying it didn't work? I am using same setup currently no issues swear. Sounds like you are new to reverse proxies. Do you sucessfully have port 80 and 443 port forwarded from your main traefik container? and are you sure that perplexica front, backend and searxng are on the same network that the traefik container?? For me that was 'caddy_default' in above example.

First step is to make sure your traefik is setup right and make those ports are open and listening with telnet or whatever else. setup domain and cnames in cloudflare. Then make sure perplexica and searxng services are on same network as traefik.
