I have noticed that every time I receive a notification waybar becomes larger in size.
The only way to get waybar to look normal again is to either reload it or dismiss the notifications

Is this the expected behavior ?

All log files seem ok and they are not reporting any errors during installations

Screenshots

This is how the notification bar expands and becomes 5 times in pixel size

I have seen this discussed on my DC group but I failed to replicate it actually

can you check contents of your ~/.config/waybar/ModulesCustom

https://github.com/JaKooLit/Hyprland-Dots/blob/d31589183fb15b6de3e2f9ffd2b315563e7362aa/config/waybar/ModulesCustom#L136

starts from here.
cause the one on github is the one I am using

check the lines and contents of the swaync line and update accordingly

Yeah that is exactly what I am getting as well. And just recently it started to happen on every alert. When I clear the alert the size is restored to normal. I also see it when I swtich my KVM switch back to that PC. Then I have to re-select the waybar theme to restore it. Both the files you mentioned are stock from your repo. No changes in my case

One difference is this is occurring with CachyOS not any other Arch Distro (so far) I am using an AMD system with 780M iGPU, @frankperrakis What is your HW config ?

re: Cachy Yes exactly that is one thing we have in common. I meant I have not seen this on any other Arch and on the same AMD system runnning Arco or NIXOS, etc it never happened. Only when I swtiched it from Nixos (your config) to CachyOS did it occur

im on hyprland-git and up to date packages and I cannot replicate this issue

I am not running -git Standard hyprl;and is at 0.45. Also not sure if it's post install 0.45 but now any notification causes the issue but when I close the notification alert the waybar is restored to normal

The same Issue happens to me as well, also on CachyOS; running on a Ryzen 7940HS, x86_64-v4 Zen4/5 optimized repos.

He can't duplicate it, so I ended up reloading that system with NIXOS instead.
