I have a paper of a person having Képes as surname. If I search for Kepes, nothing is found. Searching for Képes hits something.

What about characters I cannot easily type on my keyboard? I would have expected that JabRef magically also hits umlauts if I key in the basic character.

The example should be Düsseldorf.

  • Düsseldorf
  • Duesseldorf
  • D\"{u}sseldorf
  • Dusseldorf

All variants can be stored in BibTeX - and the user can search using each variant - and there should be a hit!
