astartes 1.0.0 Beta Testing

Thank you for volunteering to help us beta test our latest machine learning tool astartes! We appreciate all of your time spent on this project and welcome any and all feedback.

To make this a true beta test, we are providing only a few instructions and would otherwise like you to explore astartes without our guidance. We will certainly be here to help if something is entirely too confusing, but our goal is to ensure that astartes can stand on its own.

Getting Started

1. Because this is a pre-release version, you will need to modify all the calls to pip described in the README with the --pre option. This will allow pip to download the latest unstable release version (the beta release).
   • i.e. pip install astartes[molecules] would become pip install --pre astartes.
2. The README, online documentation, and docstrings are hopefully sufficient to "get you where you need to go" but we specifically welcome feedback in this area.
3. If you experience developing machine learning tools, consider trying the developer download (also described in the README)

Providing Feedback

For this beta we are going to try and keep everything on the GitHub repository, which we think is more in the spirit of open source development.

• If you do not want your feedback to be public, do not have a GitHub account, or just prefer an alternate option, please submit your thoughts to this optionally anonymous Google form.
