It looks like aredis (last updated 2020) is a direct asyncio port of redispy as discussed here and here.

Other clients to investigate:

https://pypi.org/project/aioredis/ (last updated days ago) - "An efficient and user-friendly async redis client ported from redis-py (which is a Python interface to the Redis key-value)." Since this is an async port of redispy also and it seems to be supported, this looks like the library to go with
https://pypi.org/project/asyncio-redis/ (last updated in 2020)
