Players 5-8 are unable to wear hats

Title says it all, they can't even wear vanilla hats

Tried it and I could wear at least vanilla hats as players 5-8 but this was in a created lobby with a local duck. No idea if being in another persons lobby is needed to replicate it.

This bug specifically only occurs when you're in an online game. It'll appear as correct on the client menu, but once ingame the hat will not appear. Also, neither the text on the hat selection menu nor the background duck will change when you select a hat. It's like the changes aren't being sent to the other clients or something.
