Metro 2033 Redux not supported? #1
Comments
I assume they should work with Redux due to the fix being very generic. This fix will be made obsolete very soon, since I already have a more specific game-per-game fix that works far better and has plenty of other advantages. |
Hi, today I built your DLL from source and tested this with Metro Last Light Redux, and it does appear to work and fix the mismatched X/Y sensitivity issue. Perhaps the fix for #2 also fixed this? I say this because the Redux executable is 64-bit, and based on system requirements for the original version, it appears to have been 32-bit. My built DLL is 64-bit. I see you haven't done a binary release in a while. I suspect a new release with a 64-bit build is all that is needed to fix the issue for Redux users. Unrelated, for newer 3440x1440 ultrawide monitors, if you want to include a sensitivity.txt example Thanks so much for your work on this. It's really saved the enjoyability of this game for me on my updated PC. |
@chibacityheavyindustries I am really glad it helped you! I have acquired 2033 redux on GOG a while back and I plan on checking it out. I've attempted to run it through renderdoc to finish implementing some fixes but I've had no luck so far, it seems to just crash. I'll probably recompile this for x64 and test it so I can release this fix before I sink more time trying to finish that other mod. Thank you for the testing and heads-up. |
Tried your wrapper with 16x9 sensitivity, it seems it doesn't hook the input.
