For some reason, I cannot boot off the NVME with this in place. Oddly, if I update /boot/extlinux/extlinux.conf on the SD card to point to the UUID of my NVME's LVM, it will boot.
I am also able to boot off NVME when spliting out CIDATA, /boot, /, and have LVM on non-root partition
Wondering if anyone has successfully booted off NVME with root on LVM. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I'm trying to split up my NVME into the following partitions on my rock 5b:
/dev/nvme0n1p1 - CIDATA
/dev/nvme0n1p2 - /boot
/dev/nvme0n1p3 - / on LVM
