Может, лучше использовать другое название json файла?

deps.json / npi.json / info.json / manifest.json? Что лучше? / What's better?

as for me npi.json or manifest.json
В первом случае сразу понятно, для чего этот файл

We may probably add some more info, not just dependencies, so I'd go with npi.json.

Скорее всего, будем добавлять что-то еще кроме зависимостей, так что лучше npi.json.
