Pytube and pytubefix not working anymore, did YouTube killed them?

Is happening to pytube and pytubefix and I don't think is a local issue.

At the same time, YouTube now issues this warning whenever I try to watch a video without disabling ads.

I'm wondering if there is anybody else with this issue?
Since the past two weeks I been unable to download anything from YouTube.

I used this script as an example:

Are you using some VPN or changed your internet provider?
If you are using a VPN then you can try turning it off.
If you are not using a VPN, then you can try to engage one and check if the VPN can by-pass the problem.

Recently YouTube started new A/B tests to prevent adblockers and third-party apps, TeamNewPipe, yt-dlp and invidious are facing problems, but so far pytubefix seems to work well.
