Packet captures of all methods of PSP, PS Vita/PSTV functions that communicate with PSN is needed. I sadly do not own a PSP or PS Vita no more. But it might be possible to replicate domains for those platforms too. Including System Updates. Further investigation is required. |
i have captured some of the vita's domains through alternative methods than wireshark but a ps tv is very cheap and easy to mod so i see no reason not to |
I do eventually plan to source a new PS Vita or try a PSTV myself. I have no time frame for when I can purchase one. Any domains might be worth documenting. I've started a wiki and will expand it further soon. |
General Packet Captures for PSP/PS Vita will be needed to know what domains they communicate with. I have started implementing PS Vita Update domain + update xml, livearea domain with banners. The more packet captures the better replicated communication Hyenas can do. |

Correction : Mega Man Powered Up is not using PSN but its still very unique to still be online (level sharing) for more then 14 years lol. |
Other Playstation Consoles of course have playstation network capabilities with similar methods of encryption and design
With psp emulation being constrained to adhoc (wireless netplay), and with Vita and ps4 becoming legacy consoles they all are similar. The PS3 is the most documented and preserved and it should be used as a jumping point for vita, psp and ps4 network emulation.
The PS2 is a different beast entirely as far as i know it's not centralized to a single service to authenticate game servers. With afaik most ps2 games using medius so it's should be considered as a separate project as it's not "Playstation Network"
