any app crash message in the event viewer or some logfile at %temp% or anything else to go on with? |

i am not sure if i changed anything on those security settings or not... |
For me, previous version was working. Opened app and was prompted to install new version (3.8.0.0). I installed both as user, then as admin. No visual response when trying to start app. Then found this Windows error report (Report.wer file): Report.wer file
|
I don't know how to find crash messages or where to look at. |
I found the crash message by:
On my PC, all the Windows Error Reports are in the folder: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive |
Thank you for pointing me the directions. In the time today i load Spotube v3.6.0 from uptodown and it works, or better saying, it starts and play some Musik but if i try to play my Music from Spotify (free) Library spotube didn't play it. It plays mostly music thats not in my library, mostly from my library couldn't play, it's like waiting for nothing. For this i have 3 critical error logs, i send one of them. |
There's a feature called "Spotube Connect" which allows users from other devices. It uses mDNS to advertise itself to LAN. Which allows other devices that also have Spotube to control it's (the advertising PC) playback. It requires |
This is not a bug rather, Windows Defender interferring with a false positive |
Maybe for some people this happens, but in my case Windows Defender didn't report anything, the Spotube window just did not open, no matter what I tried. Version 3.6 was the last one that worked, but it stopped playing music after some update in the YT library was required in September (I forget when exactly). Unfortunately, in all later Spotube versions the app window never even opened for me, I tried all of them. I actually suspect now that there might be a packaging issue with Flutter, because I launched Spotube in WinDbg and got some more info about the location of the crash:
Googling "windows 11 flutter mtx_do_lock" leads to this Flutter issue. On Stackoverflow somebody mentioned that this particular DLL missing might just be due to the VC runtime missing altogether. Indeed, installing the VC runtime manually (for me it was the x64 version) fixed the issue, Spotube now opens and works in version 3.8.2 on Windows 11 for me. So I think something caused Flutter to not package the required VC runtime anymore after the version used in Spotube 3.6 (at least on Windows 11). I realize there might be several different issues with the Windows builds, but this was the one for me.. hope it helps someone. |
You're the man @gengrill ! This fixed this Problem! |
For me, in Windows 11, I've got a blank screen and I also have use task manager to close it |
Is there an existing issue for this?
