Hello, It is possible to adapt the code to simulate the deformation of a flexible flat plate during flapping, mimicking the bending of bird wings. However, to accurately capture the aerodynamics and deformation behavior in such scenarios, it is crucial to reproduce leading-edge flow separation. However, using the Unsteady Vortex Lattice Method (UVLM) for such analyses introduces a challenge: the wake vortex lattice from the leading edge interacts with the flexible plate, which can lead to numerical instabilities in the coupled analysis. Thank you again for reaching out, and I look forward to hearing from you! |

Hello
This is a great job and code, and I have also read your published papers in detail. May I ask if this code can be used to solve the deformation of a flexible flat plate during flapping, similar to the bending of bird wings during movement. If possible, where should the main modifications be made?
Sincerely looking forward to your reply, thank you
