Extend format and type compatibilities

This is a great plugin, thanks for making this! I have a request though on image compatibilities. It appears you use the PIL library, which conflicts with many of the built-in Napari samples.

Example: In Napari, select File > Open Sample > napari builtins > Cells 3D

Running SAMV2 on eg nuclei leads an error caused by the bit depth of the image.
