There I was, doing more software engineer things as the days go by - taking on tickets, asking for help, asking for PR reviews, attending meetings. All the things that software engineers do, I began doing little by little which allowed me to understand, at least in some part, what the team does. I've worked on several components so far but the stack is so vast that even senior people haven't touched some of it. Needless to say, I have grown quite accustomed to my team and how they operate over the past eight months being here. I have done a lot of things, and have grown my knowledge in this area a lot since I began.

### Bringing It Full Circle
There was also a period in my internship where I got to be at the other side of the transition year programme, where myself and all the other interns spent the week with the students hosting workshops which gave the students software engineering skills and insight into the software industry. It was one of the highlights of my time here, being able to support young students and watch them grow throughout the week, and I am proud of each and every one of them. Working in Kuadrant helped me immensely as the project uses GitHub for project management, allowimg me to show them software development principles the open source way !

### What has made my journey unique as a Kuadrant Intern
I believe my journey is unique because you have much more flexibility in the work and your impact because the systems in place are changing all the time as we are aiming towards v1. For example, I have [added our dashboards to Grafana's Community Platform](https://grafana.com/orgs/kuadrantdev), [automated uploading dashboards to Grafana](https://github.com/Kuadrant/kuadrant-operator/pull/641), [written up documentation for the site](https://github.com/Kuadrant/kuadrant-operator/pull/663) and have [pushed changes to the docs site](https://github.com/Kuadrant/docs.kuadrant.io/actions/runs/9990867148/job/27612453163), all of which will probably still be there once I leave.
