Can I contribute to this project?

There are some features I implemented locally and would be nice to open a PR so everyone has these like integrated sockets into the API SDK etc.

I see some features are missing from the API. Happy to take over the maintenance and development of the project if necessary. Otherwise I might as well just start my own spin off.
