Storage remote not working

Mod Version: 1.11.3

Single Player or Server: Single player

Describe problem (what you were doing; what happened; what should have happened): I play on a custom modpack, and in some of my worlds when I try to right click on the remote it doesn't open except when I am at home. This has happened before and I don't know how to fix it.

and it does the same with the collector remote where it places items I pick up into my inventory instead of the storage
