Like many others, I use KDEConnect to control devices, and as such, have included KDE as a source for the Media Control widget. As far as showing the content being played, it works. However, on the Home screen, the picture of the content in the widget constantly flickers.
This happens when using/watching content on Freetube --a Youtube client-- on a PC connected to the phone via KdeConnect. Have not tried if same happens via VLC on remote PC.

Did does not happen with any other source on the phone, albeit all other outputs are usually local to it. A guess could be the ongoing querying that KDE does to the peripheral causing the widget to update constantly, which shows on the user end, as flickering. As said effect will stop once the video on the PC is paused. This happens on the latest stable build.

Out of curiosity, I downloaded latest nightly, the one built on Friday Feb. 28th, and noticed the flicker occurs here, too.

For reference, if one plays a video on the same remote PC, say on an Invdious instance on Firefox, the content being played also shows, no flickering but the picture is a static, generic music note. Not a cropped picture of the video/content itself. Furthermore, if I play a streamed song from my Nextcloud instance via a music app, the cover of the album will show on the widget, without flickering, and as expected.

Not sure if this is a bug, or whether it could be something that could be addressed on Freetube upstream or on the Kvaesito side. Since it seems as a rather esoteric issue.

Would you be so kind as to take a gander at it, see what is happening, please? Albeit it seems the issue is not with Kvaesito.
Either way, thanks for such a great, search focused launcher. It is such a great app to use.
Cheers.
