The lack of documentation on this repo makes me wonder if this is the right place to post this. But anyways, here goes.

I know this repo hasn't been looked at for 5 years, but the firmware keeps failing on my mBot Ranger. I'm using mBlock 5, with the included cord to connect and it keeps erroring on both firmware updates and on code uploads.

Any ideas as to what I should try or look is much appreciated.

Would never have expected something like this to happen from a $200 robot and software, but the lack of online documentation for any of the repos is a bit frustrating.

I have realised that the problem is with the software and not the hardware or firmware. By attempting to upload any code to the bot through Arduino IDE, it worked 100% of the time and I managed to update the firmware and correctly use code.

This is my advice to anyone who encounters this problem or this thread, you can copy the Arduino code from mBlock 5 generated automatically and paste it into an Arduino file before uploading. It'll save you a lot of headaches wondering whether the percentage will go to 100.

@Ezraay thanks for sharing the solution..I haven't used the bot and its software for over a year but want to dust it off..hope it works as it did last.
