what version of Makie are you running? (]st -m Makie)
0.21.11
can you reproduce the bug with a fresh environment ? (]activate --temp; add Makie)
Have not done it because the reproduce step is too easy.
What platform + GPU are you on?
Ubuntu 22.04. The 12th generation Intel® Core™ i7-12700 processor.

I input a not-existing named parameter but it unexpectedly succeeds. Furtherly, after that the location of legend is the same as the default.
