there should be a way to detect disconnection (e.g. if the process is interrupted, or the IRC server reboots), and reconnect automatically after a delay, if required. I might take a shot at implementing this.

Hi c-cube, that's a good idea. I'm not working a lot on the projet for now but don't hesitate if you want to add something on the projet, I'm happy to validate your PR or help on this.
