Configure Bluetooth for Version 2 with bluez-alsa-utils #2486
-
I'm trying to create a Phoniebox for my kids. I wanted to use an old BT Speaker (JBL Charge 2) I have lying around and wanted to have some buttons. I am using a PI Zero 2 WH. I started with version 3, and the audio worked out of the box, but unfortunately the usb encoder for arcade buttons is not yet enabled. I then downgraded to version 2, now the buttons work, but I am unable to output audio via bluetooth. I followed this tutorial https://github.com/MiczFlor/RPi-Jukebox-RFID/wiki/Connecting_Bluetooth_device_to_Phoniebox but I'm tempted to believe that the change to the bluez-alsa-utils has probably broken something that I am unable to find/get over it. Considering I'm in any way raspberry/unix expert, I was just wondering if anyone happens to have some other tutorial/ideas that could help me? I have even tried Claude and ChatGPT without any luck. |

Hi,
Which branch of V3 did you use? I think in
future/develop
it should be possible to use the usb-buttons (#1943).For V2:
Which raspberry os version do you use?
With bookworm it should work as described.
For bullseye
bluez-alsa-utils
is not available. Have a look here for an unofficial workaround: #2480
