When I put 1 durathread into my backpack, it converted my stack of 50 cotton into a stack of 50 durathread.

confirmed! durathread bundles will convert raw cotton bundles into more durathread, but the processed durathread and cloth sheets do NOT stack
likely related to durathread bundles being a child of cotton

(don't mind the sticky prefix I was testing other issues)
