Do you have good code snippets from other projects that could be reused here?

I guess anonymisation is mostly about

  • user data
  • comments

this will likely be already well done in the core.
Do core team member data be annonymised? I am referring to the short bits people wrote about their background.

Is it worth do anonymize stuff like Rank Math info?

Oh! MailPoet-Subscribers need to be anonified (just introducing this word as I don't know how to actually write it and this version is at least short).

Steam tracks IP addresses - they might need to be anonified (maybe actually in the live database already?!)

Do you have more ideas what needs to be anonified?

The repo is now prepared to use WP Migrate DB Anonymization

there need to be tests what is annoymized by default and what we need to extend.
