Non-ASCII paths, numerous issues

I've been trying for a while now, but I can't switch from the first directory I selected. Not fully understanding the supported types, I initially chose a local repository to test how well Mistral 7B would understand my code. After that, I tried selecting a different directory, one with a Cyrillic name. The operation failed. I was stuck with my first choice, even when I tried switching to paths with only English characters. No luck—it was simply impossible to change directories.

Today, after a clean installation, I selected a folder in a path using only ASCII characters, and everything worked fine. However, when I copied some Cyrillic docx files into it, I got an error saying the file types weren’t supported or something similar, which didn’t address the actual issue. After renaming the files to use ASCII characters, ChatRTX was able to recognize them immediately.

I also tested its ability to process files in Serbian Cyrillic, and it worked perfectly fine within the capabilities of the selected model. This means the harder part—handling internationalized content—is already functional, while the easier part—the interface—can’t handle UTF-8. This is likely the most important issue you have and will face for a while, as it cuts off a significant part of the world. Not everyone will want to rename their folders and files just to use them with ChatRTX.
