(5.4) Getting off tank and shooting at same time will shoot in an undesired direction

This is a rather specific issue.
Seen in 5.4 and prior.

I'm shotgun class and I'm driving in my tank.
When I get off and shoot basicly at the same time, my character will sometimes shoot in a direction I didn't aim at.
Perhaps the aim direction of the player isn't updated while driving?
