Assembly Line Examples

It would be good if the assembly line came with example recipes and upgrades to show off the features of the mod compared to the original. Currently I can't find any information on the upgrade bus. Also does the size of the assembly line (and other machines defined with adjustable size) have any affect on recipes e.g processing time, output, etc.
