Describe the bug

When I try to import .torrent files from qbittorrent\config\data\BT_backup to rutorrent using "Add torrent/Add from file/Add file" it says "Torrent was added successfully." but it doesn't show up
tried rebooting the machine multiple times but nothing changes
I tested those .torrent file with transmission and they work, but could not get them to be recognized by ruTorrent
other normal .torrent also magnet work fine, I just need those .torrent files from my qbit files to be accessible for seeding in ruTorrent

This is an issue related to rtorrent, which is the intepreter and operator of torrent files behind the scene. ruTorrent, as the front-end, only sends the torrent files from the user's desktop/mobile devices to the box. Anyway, those torrent files kept by qBittorrent are altered by QB and not identical to the original files downloaded from their tracker sites. The changes in-between might cause rtorrent to fail to recognize the files.

@jevenski ok thanks, what you suggest? to ask to rtorrent github so?

It's worth a try. Development of rtorrent was revived lately. Open an issue there, and the authors might consider looking into this one.

@deja6900 Try to increase the default piece size on qBittorrent when you create the torrent. If you hit calculate, there should be around 2000 pieces with a maximum piece size of 16MB. This could also be a PHP torrent file size limit.

If this is the case, you're not creating torrents with a big enough piece size. They won't seed properly. It's not recommended to increase the PHP file size limit. The default value is very sensible for ruTorrent.
