Hey
i saw this repo and good job. I see that BetterCrewlink code is made in typescript so i'm think it can be compiled for IOS, no ?

Note: i dont use IOS but i have friends who use it

Update 1: after a search, i saw you use angular and ionic so it's possible, but idk how do this

Apple is kinda like North Korea when it comes to anything to do with their products, they essentially want complete control over it even though it's someone else's property. With that, there is a $100 fee you have to pay to even be considered to be put on the app store and that's the only way an app can be installed on your phone. It will be done, just not quite yet. We're still ironing out bugs and updating the UI so we've got a lot of work before an iOS roll out. Until then, there is a browser hosted version they can use at this link: https://web.bettercrewl.ink/. Hope that helps!

How does one use the web version for iOS though? My friends and I recently tried this out but we couldn't figure it out. Mobile host was enabled on PC. Do they configure the website in their iphone they're using to play with (like safari or chrome) or do they use a PC for the site and iphone for the game. Detailed step by step instructions would be much appreciated, but anything helps.

I currently don't own a iphone so I can't say if it actually works. But it should work like this:

  • open it in safari on your phone
  • accept the microphone permission (important)
  • select the voice server (default is now the same as in the pc app)
  • fill in the game code
  • fill in your in-game username
  • make sure a microphone is selected (mic o 0 if I'm correct)
  • click connect
  • start the among us app and join the lobby with the in-game username.

On pc the wifi Icon should disappear of the player and he should be able to talk.

Thank you very much! I'll try this out next time we play.
