Hoping it's not the SD card, although it is brand new so I suppose I could get a refund or replacement if the issues continue. Lots of weirdness in there, but the keys were in the SFC folder, which it renamed and reallocated into those DEMON'~1.zi0 files, which I was then able to delete. All of this started when I got into the reboot loop, so hopefully this will be the end of it! Thanks for the tip! The type of the file system is FAT32. Windows has made corrections to the file system.

you can try
chkdsk E: /f
(replace E: with your SD card letter)
