Some requests are only supposed to be made from certain IP addresses. For instance, the requests authenticated as the system user should come from 10.0.0.0/8. For devices with static IP addresses the validity of the token can also be linked to an IP address.

Similar rules can be defined for other components (for instance, the backend should only be accessible by the frontend).
