Dear @jjonkman

I downloaded the latest case of 1.5MW, but the following problems occurred during operation. I feel that the latest version has a bug problem. I hope to get your guidance!

Dear @clun1,

Which version of OpenFAST and which version of the r-test are you using?

OpenFAST v4 (including the r-test) was released yesterday, so, perhaps you are using an older version of OpenFAST and the newer version of the r-test, whose input file format is incompatible.

Dear @jjonkman

Thank you for your reply. The version was downloaded from the official website half an hour ago. Both modules have been downloaded, and I am sure they are the latest version

Dear @clun1,

Can you clarify what you downloaded and if you compiled OpenFAST yourself?

If you downloaded the newest release of the r-test from https://github.com/OpenFAST/r-test/releases, this would be for OpenFAST v4.

Precompiled binary executables for Windows of OpenFAST v4 should be uploaded soon. If you've downloaded the newest precompiled binary executables for Windows from https://github.com/OpenFAST/openfast/releases, you are using OpenFAST v3.5.5, which requires input files with a different format.

Best regards,

Dear @jjonkman

Thank you very much for your reply. Now I switch to the old version, which was 3.5.4, but the following alarm will appear. Based on the alarm, I will modify the parameters in the graph in the document and change the parameter DTTorSpr to 5.6E+07, and then the case will run.. I want to know why this happened, looking forward to your reply!

Dear @clun1,

I would not expect that you'd have to change the DTTorSpr for the OpenFAST models of the WindPACT 1.5-MW wind turbine. Can you clarify which OpenFAST r-test example you are using and what you changed in the input files?

Best regards,
