What are you trying to do and how would you want to do it differently?

I would like to improve the solver control to the same level of flexibility as the material factory

Is it something you currently cannot do? Is this related to an issue/problem?

new solvers have to be included in more than one spot in the code.

Implementation details

use the set_module module
