Releases: Pokechu22/WorldDownloader
WorldDownloader 1.7.10b for Minecraft 1.7.10
This is a backport of all the changes from 1.8c-fix1 to Minecraft 1.7.10. If you want to use WDL with Minecraft 1.8, use this version instead.
Changes:
- Everything from the previous 1.8 builds (except for 1.8 exclusive items)
- Fixed a bug where maps (the item) might not save.
WorldDownloader 1.8c-fix1 for Minecraft 1.8
This version contains various bug fixes.
- Fix for #10 -- game crashing upon joining some servers.
- Fix for debug settings not getting loaded immediately upon world load, resulting in the worldload text not always getting displayed.
- Server view distance is automatically switched to spigot mode if the server's brand is spigot. This means that you don't need to set the distance yourself (in most cases).
WorldDownloader 1.8c for Minecraft 1.8
Another version for 1.8! This time, a few fixes and a new GUI.
Changes:
- New entity GUI!
- Allows you to specify what entities you want saved.
- Allows you to set the track distance for entities (mostly useful on spigot servers where these may be lower than usual
- Option to sync track ranges with some servers via this plugin
- Presets screen.
- Implemented #4 -- there now is an option to not save Holograms.
- Fixes for #7 / #8 -- opening double chests from some sides could cause world corruption.
- Support for profiling (Shift+F3) -- probably not too important, but it's there now.
- Internally, the events for WDL now have much smaller changes to the base classes.
WorldDownloader 1.8c beta #1 for Minecraft 1.8
WorldDownloader 1.8b for Minecraft 1.8
This is the second release of WorldDownloader for 1.8, and fixes a lot of the bugs, along with addition of several new features.
Bugfixes
- Fix for issue #1, where previously changing worlds in a multiworld server broke the download and started 20 save threads.
- Fix for issue #3, where reloading chunks caused TileEntities to be removed.
- Fix for issue #5, where fireworks would cause the game to lag to extreme levels when they exploded.
- The world no longer has a chance of becoming invisible after stopping the download.
New features
- Saving the contents of map items!
- If the map is in an item frame, you need to load it for it to be saved, just like a chest.
- If the map is in your inventory, it'll be saved immediately.
- Idcounts.dat is not saved, meaning that if you create a new map in the downloaded world, it may use the ID of an existing one. Nothing too important, but something to be aware of.
- A debug options GUI, so that your chat is only spammed if you want it to be!
- Some debug settings default to enabled, but all can be disabled (and all will be if "Master debug switch" is set to off).
- You can also chose which types of information you want to see, so you can only see the more important GUI open/close messages without seeing the removeEntityFromWorld or onChunkNoLongerNeeded ones.
- Fancy save progress GUI, that includes progress bars and what is being done.
- Serverside configuration functionality
- Re-implementing the "Player looks about in world" code for the multiworld select GUI.
- Configuration of the "Allow cheats" setting, with it defaulting to enabled (rather than previously being disabled)
- Backing up the world!
- This is done after saveing is done, and a backup is created each time.
- The three modes available are creating a zip of the world folder, copying the world folder entirely, and not performing any backup. The default is creating a zip.
- Probably some other things that I've forgotten about.
This mod isn't compatible with forge, and must be manually installed for now. When doing so, you'll need to directly insert the contents of the zip into the jar, and then delete the META-INF
folder. This mod is based off of Minecraft 1.8, and not Minecraft 1.8.7, so make sure you're using the right version!
Issues and suggestions can be posted in the issue tracker or the Minecraft forums thread.
WorldDownloader for Minecraft 1.8
This is a version of WorldDownloader that works with Minecraft 1.8 servers. It has all of the features of the 1.7.10 version except for realms support, plus a bunch of new features.
New features:
- A fancy saving progress bar
- Saving of hoppers and minecart hoppers
- Saving of beacon effects
- Saving of villager trades
- Saving of horse chest contents
Install this as you would install any other mod. It is not compatible with Minecraft forge (yet), so don't install that or Modloader along with it. It is standalone.
Note that this mod is based off of Minecraft 1.8, not Minecraft 1.8.4. Use the 1.8 jar when installing it or else things will not work.
Enjoy!
