This issue is about automatically populating the event announce of the website to the event-announcement section in Discourse.

I would suggest we do it the other way around. We populate the website from announcements in the forum. All we need for that is something that reads the forum's API, extracts the markdown and adds the metadata to the post. And then this would make our job of posting an event much more effortless
