Thicket Biome causing hang

Admittedly I have a lot of mods installed in a modpack I am making but the Thicket Biome seems to be the only thing causing this hang. When I go to the biome (I used Nature's Compass to find it) everything stops but me for a long time and the game will take a long time to move again. Often I will need to log out and in several times before the biome is fully loaded and I can return to some sense of normalcy. Force disabling this biome fixed things. Not sure what information I can supply to help fix this.

I get a stack overflow error when the thicket biome loads in. Apparently something goes wrong when decorating the biome.

EDIT: I do think it may be related to Recurrent Complex in my case. That mod has some rather odd issues with things.
