Qubes OS release

Qubes OS 4.3

Brief summary

Trying to start a newly created, empty HVM from an ISO file in some qube aborts with a not available message.

Steps to reproduce

Try to boot an HVM from an ISO file in some qube, either using the button Boot qube from CD-ROM in its advanced properties or via the dom0 command qvm-start NEWHVM --cdrom=VMNAME:<path_to_iso-file>.

Expected behavior

The HVM should boot if the ISO file is bootable.

Actual behavior

Shortly, a message Device available is shown for the ISO file. After about a second an error message Block device VMNAME::* not available is shown, and the boot attempt is aborted.

Additional information

Restarting the qube VMNAME changes the error message to Block device VMNAME:loop0:* already assigned to NEWHVM, and the HVM is not started.
