Qubes OS release

Qubes OS 4.2

Brief summary

Audio recording in Chrome doesnt’t work in a VM based on the debian-12 template.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Chrome via extrepo.
  2. Try to do a voice chat.

Expected behavior

The people I am talking to can hear me.

Actual behavior

The people I am talking to cannot hear me. It appears that attaching the mic causes the PipeWire module to stop working.

Additional information

Upgrading PipeWire to the version in Debian backports fixes the problem. I suspect the version in Debian stable is just too old.
