Note: Versions mentioned in the description apply only to the upstream zlib package and not the zlib package as distributed by Debian.
See How to fix? for Debian:8 relevant fixed versions and status.

inftrees.c in zlib 1.2.8 might allow context-dependent attackers to have unspecified impact by leveraging improper pointer arithmetic.

Remediation

Upgrade Debian:8 zlib to version 1:1.2.8.dfsg-2+deb8u1 or higher.
