Describe the bug

When opening a game with Retroarch using the melonDS core, the retroachievements are disabled, when you go into settings and enable them, then going to the quick menu and opening "Achievements" makes the whole emulator crash.

How to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
0. I have retroachievements enabled by default in X55. I have melonDS as the default emulator in X55 settings.

  1. Open any NDS game that has achievements.
  2. Achievements show up as disabled (even tho they're enabled everywhere),
  3. Open Quick Menu > Settings > Achievements > Turn On > Go back to Quick Menu > Achievements
  4. It crashes

Information

  • ROCKNIX Version: 20240815 (tried on an older version and it didnt work either)
  • Hardware Platform: Powkiddy X55

Context

Temporary Fix I found:
0. Open a NDS game > Enable achievements within retroarch settings > Main menu and Save Current Configuration > Main menu and Restart > Retroarch restarts itself and now we load a NDS game again > it now loads with Retroachievements perfectly fine.

If you quit retroarch and load it from the X55 menu again, it goes back to having achievements off and crashing.

I'm noticing the same issue and the same fix worked. Anbernic RG353V on GBC games (Gambette)

I'm also encountering this issue. Retroid pocket 5 when playing with melonds via retroarch. I'm on release 20241120.
