@RobLoach Any chance you might be able to refresh the various builds on the Docker Hub? The current build is pretty old and since then the composer project itself has released a new version...

Thanks!

Just ran into this too. The upshot of this Drupal.org issue is that I need to update composer >= 1.4 in order for minimum-stability and prefer-stable to work as expected.

+1 for this.

I've just tried using the update.sh script to generate new versions, but I get the following errors on my mac:

./update.sh 1.4.0
readlink: illegal option -- f
usage: readlink [-n] [file ...]
sort: invalid option -- V
Try 'sort --help' for more information.

For anyone after Composer 1.4 via Docker lucor/composer seems to do the job.

I've done this as well for the time being using 1.4.1

There is a new official repository now: https://hub.docker.com/_/composer/
